About Steamies Bar
A San Mateo watering hole for more than fifty years and a longtime old-timers' hangout. After sitting closed for over a year, the owners secured a long-term lease, gutted and remodeled the space, and reopened the doors in March 2008. It's a laid-back dive with a pool table, game-day TVs, a patio, midweek karaoke, and taco trucks parked outside.
